Manufacturing Engineer

Overview:

  • Utilize CAD/CAM software, particularly SolidWorks, to design and optimize manufacturing systems and processes for boat production

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Production Managers, and Quality Assurance to ensure effective implementation of manufacturing processes and products

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, quality control standards, assembly methods, and increased efficiency in manufacturing processes

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including manufacturing instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures; conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems that arise during the production process by proposing and implementing appropriate solutions

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of necessary materials

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to computer numerical control (CNC) manufacturing

  • Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on boat machinery and equipment.

  • Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering, or related field.

  • Requires two (2) years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Build Engineer, Operations
    Engineer, or related occupation working on analytical instrumentation, safety instrumentation and
    process control instrumentation; performing preventative, corrective, predictive, and demand
    maintenance on all electrical systems, and coordinating and working with outside agencies and
    equipment vendors to procure equipment to specification.

  • At least one (1) year of experience must
    include SolidWorks software, interpreting and generating technical drawings and specifications, and
    utilizing machining or computer numerical control (CNC) manufacturing.
